THE PACKAGING FIELD NOTES

Make better
packaging decisions.

A practical starting point for choosing a box, understanding materials, planning print and preparing a clear quotation request.

01 / STRUCTURE

Start with the product.

A shipping carton protects goods through handling and storage. A mailer box can combine protection with an unboxing experience. A retail sleeve or display box puts presentation first. Share the product size, weight, fragility and packing method so the structure can be discussed around its real use.

02 / MATERIAL

Match the board to the journey.

Corrugated board uses a fluted layer between liners. Board grade, flute type and wall construction should be selected for the packed weight, stacking conditions and delivery route. If you have an existing sample, its photos and dimensions are a helpful starting reference.

03 / FINISH

Decide what the box needs to say.

Consider where the logo, product information and handling marks should appear. Provide artwork files or a visual reference, the number of print colours and any finish you have in mind. We can discuss practical options after the box structure and order quantity are clear.

04 / BRIEF

Send a useful first brief.

Include the box style, internal length × width × height, quantity, packed product and weight, delivery country, target date and any reference images. It is fine to leave open decisions in your enquiry; we will confirm the specifications before preparing a quotation.
